This page explains what data we collect through exhibitioncompany.nl, why we collect it and what your rights are. Each exhibition has its own website with its own privacy policy.

What data we process
When you view the website, our hosting provider Vercel receives your IP address, browser type, the page you request and the time. This is needed to show and protect the site. We don't use analytics or advertising cookies, so we don't know who visits the site.
When you sign up for the newsletter, we process:
- your email address (required)
- your name, if you enter it
- your IP address and technical browser data, for Cloudflare's spam check
If you email or call us, we keep what you send or tell us.
What we use your data for
- Sending the newsletter. We only do this with your consent, which you give by signing up through the form. We record when and from which IP address you signed up, so we can show that you gave consent yourself.
- Preventing spam and abuse of the form. We use Cloudflare Turnstile for this and limit the number of sign-ups per IP address. We do this based on our legitimate interest.
- Keeping the website secure and working, also based on our legitimate interest.
- Answering your question when you email or call us.
You can withdraw your consent for the newsletter with the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every newsletter, or by emailing us.
Who receives your data
We work with three companies that process data for us:
- Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.) stores the mailing list and sends the newsletter. Intuit privacy statement
- Cloudflare Inc. runs the spam check on the form. Turnstile privacy policy
- Vercel Inc. hosts the website. Vercel privacy policy
These companies are based in the United States. They take part in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which allows them to process data from the EU.
We never sell your data. We only share it when the law requires us to.
How long we keep data
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. On request we delete your address straight away.
- Sign-up limit: your IP address stays in our server's memory for ten minutes at most.
- Spam check: Cloudflare only uses the data for the check.
- Server logs: Vercel keeps them for a short time, under its own retention policy.
- Email and phone: until your question is handled, at most one year after the last contact.
Photos on this website
This site shows photos we took at our exhibitions. If you are recognisable in a photo and don't want to be, email us at info@exhibitioncompany.nl and we will remove it.
Security
The website uses a secure connection (HTTPS). Only staff who need it can access the newsletter mailing list. If you think something is wrong with the security of your data, let us know right away.
Your rights
You can ask us:
- what data we hold about you (access)
- to correct or complete your data
- to delete your data
- to restrict what we do with your data
- to give you your data in a file (portability)
You can also object to the use of your data. You can withdraw your consent for the newsletter at any time.
Send your request to info@exhibitioncompany.nl. We respond within one month. We may ask you to show that the data is yours.
Making a complaint
If you disagree with how we handle your data, please contact us first. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
If the website or the services we use change, we update this policy. The date at the top shows when we last updated it.
